Singapore is a beautiful city; it gave me a strong sense of feeling at home. Mixing a combination of Sydney & London, although Singapore is significantly cleaner! We spent three days exploring this city and managed to cram in everything we wanted to see with just enough time to spare. The city itself is relatively small and everything is walkable. There is an option for using the MRT trains, but having been biking around most of SE Asia we decided to walk whilst we could!
Where to stay?
Location wise, Singapore is quite small and everything is easily accessible by MRT, taxi’s or other modes of transport.
However, for your first visit I would suggest staying close to Boat Quay or Clarke Quay. That way, everything is central to you and accessible by foot.
The colours and vibrancy of the city makes for hundreds of great photo opportunities and future instagram posts. We had fun exploring the likes of Haji Lane, Little India, Clarke Quays, Gardens By The Bay and many more spots! Make sure to read my blogs on the above locations.
It’s a lot to pack into three days, but its doable and gives you a crash course in all things Singapore! If you cant get it all done, it gives you a perfect excuse to come back and explore Singapore some more.
